The Suunto Smart heart rate belt provides accurate heart rate data without sacrificing comfort. The belt provides excellent performance in sports where hand movement interferes with heart rate readings on the wrist. It allows you to measure your heart rate while wearing the watch over your sleeve or strapped to the handlebars of a bicycle, or even not wearing it at all during your exercise session.
The Suunto Smart heart rate belt has an R-R memory that is used when the watch is not within radio range of the Bluetooth connection. This belt is perfect for team sports in particular, where it allows you to record measurements without having to wear the watch. The memory function is available on Suunto 3, 5, 9, Spartan, Ambit3 and Traverse watches.
